About Us

Chris’s love for vehicles began at a young age, tinkering and customizing cars in his parents’ garage. What started as a hobby quickly turned into a passion project, and by 2013, Chris had outgrown the small garage and moved SOK to a dedicated shop in Kaukauna, WI. This move allowed him to take on larger projects, refine his skills, and build a reputation for precision metalwork and custom automotive craftsmanship. In 2017, the business expanded again, relocating to a small shop in Freedom, Wisconsin. With more space and better facilities, Chris could take on more complex builds, improve workflow, and serve a growing customer base. Those years were pivotal in shaping the quality, attention to detail, and hands-on expertise that would later become the foundation of Wicked Metalworks. In 2020, SOK closed its shop, bringing an important chapter to a close. But Chris’s passion for vehicles and custom fabrication never faded. After spending three years working a traditional 9–5 job, he realized something was missing in his life—his drive to work on vehicles, craft custom builds, and push the limits of automotive design was still alive and stronger than ever. In 2023, Chris followed that passion and officially launched Wicked Metalworks. Built on years of experience in auto body repair, metal fabrication, custom automotive work, and professional painting, Wicked Metalworks brings together craftsmanship, creativity, and a love for vehicles that has been decades in the making. Today, Wicked Metalworks serves Appleton, WI, and the greater Fox Valley, providing services for both everyday drivers and automotive enthusiasts. From meticulous custom builds to quality repairs and refinishing, every vehicle that comes through the shop is treated with care, precision, and a commitment to excellence. Wicked Metalworks isn’t just a shop—it’s a continuation of a lifelong passion for vehicles, metalwork, and turning ideas into reality.
